Poland to Transfer All 28 of its MiG-29 Jets to US; Potentially to be Given to Ukraine

 Poland is hoping to give the United States all 28 of its MiG-29 jets to the United States.  The expectation is that these jets, if the US accepts them, will then be transferred to Ukraine for use in Ukraine's air defense against Russia.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has specifically asked for former Soviet and Russian jets, as his pilots can use them immediately without additional training.

The jets would not come to the United States, but would instead be sent to a US military base in Germany.

Since the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Russia has not completely secured air superiority over the nation.  This came as a surprise to most experts, both in the region and internationally.

Now, with these jets set to be transferred to Ukrainian control, Russia will have further difficulty controlling the skies.
