Projection: John Bel Edwards Wins Re-election in Louisiana Governor Race

Memorandum Daily can now confidently project that John Bel Edwards has won a nail-biting victory today in Louisiana.

While Governor Edwards, a Democrat, currently trails his opponent, Eddie Rispone, by a slight margin, critical districts that will come in big for Edwards have not reported yet, including East Baton Rouge Parish and Orleans Parish.

This marks yet another loss in a major race that the President has campaigned in.
