Trump Chief of Staff: We Perform Quid Pro Quos “All the Time”
In a stunning exchange with ABC’s Jon Karl, President Trump’s acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney stated that the Trump Administration performs Quid Pro Quos “all the time.”
During a press conference, Mr. Mulvaney received numerous questions from reporters.
The biggest exchange came after Mr. Mulvaney also announced that next year’s G7 would be taking place at Trump National.
“But to be clear, what you just described as a quid pro quo,” Jon Karl began. “ It is: funding will not flow unless the investigation into the Democrats’ server happens as well.”
Mulvaney responded, “ We do... we do that all the time when it comes to foreign policy. We were holding up funding at the same time for the northern triangle countries... so that they would change their policy on immigration.”
